St Thomas' School Council

At the beginning of each term the children in KS1 decide if they would like to be on the School Council. If they would like to be a School Councillor they prepare a short presentation which they present to their class. The children in each KS1 class then vote for who they would like to represent their class. Each KS1 class has 2 representatives who meet with Mr Day once a fortnight.

Each term the School Council are responsible for-

  • Organising recycling across the school
  • Writing the End of Term Reflection
  • Organising the Enterprise Workshop
  • Working with the PTA
  • Health and safety walks with Reg the Rhino

At the end of the year they also conduct the 'End of Year Pupil Questionnaire' to find out what the children at St Thomas' have really enjoyed and what they think would make St Thomas' even better!
