Sea City Museum Trip

Dear Parents

Year 1 and 2 Trip to Southampton’s Sea City Museum on Monday 16th May 2022

We are delighted to inform you of our exciting new trip this term. To help support our new topic of ‘The Titanic’, we have organised a visit for years 1 and 2 to Southampton’s Sea City Museum. The main area of Sea City Museum tells the story of the impact on Southampton of the sinking in 1912 of the White Star Liner Titanic. Through a fascinating 1:25 scale, interactive model of the ship, giving an insight into the lives of the crew aboard the Titanic, many of whom were Southampton residents. For more information, visit the website: https://seacitymuseum.co.uk/

We will be leaving school, by coach on Monday 16th May and are planning to return before the end of the school day.

Your child will need a packed lunch and a filled water bottle in a rucksack. Please be prepared for any weather. The children will need to wear their normal school uniform and bring a coat.

The cost of the trip is £19.00. These contributions are voluntary, however, if we do not receive sufficient funding this trip may be unable to go ahead. If you require any financial assistance with the cost of this trip then please do not hesitate to speak to Mr Davies.

Please complete the online permission form here and make your payment by Friday 6th May. The trip has been set up on line via your child’s SCO Pay account. If you would prefer to pay by cash/cheque this is no problem. Cheques should be made payable to HCC.

Yours sincerely
