Giving Machine

This year everyone has a fantastic opportunity to help raise money for the school by doing any online shopping through ‘The Giving Machine’ website, which can be used to access a whole host of retailers such as Amazon, Argos, Sainsbury’s, Ebay and many more!

Retailers then donate a percentage of each purchase to the school – and it doesn’t cost you a penny!

If you would like to help, please register with The Giving Machine https://www.thegivingmachine.co.uk/. You then need to change the cause you want to support and search for ‘St Thomas’ Infant School’. You can then search for a retailer on the site and be taken to their site to shop as normal… except that anything you buy results in a donation to the school!   There can be no easier way to help raise money for the school, so please do register – it’s really easy and takes just a couple of minutes!

Match Funding

We are extremely grateful to all our parents who are able to boost our fundraising efforts via their employer’s matched funding schemes.

Terra Cycle : Crisp Packet & Pringle Tube Recycling

Crisp packets and crisp packet multi-pack outer packaging recycling

Please empty your packaging of crisps and crumbs – no need to wash!  Please do not fold the crisp packets into triangles.  Just drop them into the green bin provided in the playground by the bike store. Once collected by TerraCycle, the crisp packets are separated, cleaned, and turned into plastic pellets to make new recycled products.

Pringles Can Recycling

Please empty your packaging of Pringles and crumbs and then drop them into the green bin provided. Once collected, the Pringles tubes and plastic lids are sorted, shredded and washed. The material is then turned into plastic granules which are then incorporated into the production of different plastic products such as fence posts and benches.
