St Thomas' School Council

At the beginning of each term the children in KS1 decide if they would like to be on the School Council. If they would like to be a School Councillor they prepare a short presentation which they present to their class. The children in each KS1 class then vote for who they would like to represent their class. Each KS1 class has 2 representatives who meet with Mrs Pearce-King once a fortnight.

The ideas and views of the children at St Thomas' are represented by the School Council . Each term there is a specific focus and at the end of each long term the School Council are responsible for  writing an 'End of Term Reflection' which is sent out to all of the parents.

At the end of the year they also conduct the 'End of Year Pupil Questionnaire' to find out what the children at St Thomas' have really enjoyed and what they think would make St Thomas' even better!

At the end of 2014-2015 the children said that they would like more visitors to come to our school and they would also like more Sports clubs. These ideas will form part of this year's School Improvement Plan.
