Donate a bottle / non uniform day
In preparation for the Summer Social event, the children will be having a non-uniform day on Friday 6th July
Parents are being asked to donate a bottle (wine / spirits / soft drinks / smellies) for the tombola stall in return for the children wearing their own clothes. There will be donation points at drop-off and pick up on Friday 6th July.

Glass Jars
The PTA are looking for empty glass jars of all shapes and sizes!  If you have any clean, label-less, jars with lids that you would be happy to donate, please leave them with Mrs West in reception or give them to Lucy Macleod (class 3).

Second-Hand Uniform Donations

We will be selling second-hand uniform to parents with children joining Year R on Wednesday 4th July at the New Parents' Induction Meeting, If you have any uniform that you would like to donate, please leave in a clearly marked bag with Mrs West or hand it to Sarah Pilbrow (class 4) or Catherine Walters (class 2).

Yearbook Orders

The yearbooks are looking great and are in their final stages of production.  There will be a letter home in book bags soon about the ordering process. Please return all completed forms to Mrs West by Friday 13th July.

Yearbooks will be given out in the final week of term.

Summer Social - Pre-bookable Events

You should by now have seen the booking forms for the fabulous tennis, Zumba and donkey rides sessions at our Summer Social on Saturday 14th July. If you haven't had a form yet, please ask Mrs West for a copy.

Places are filling up fast, so please ensure that your completed forms are returned by Friday 29th June.

Big Breakfast

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the PTA at the Big Breakfast on Friday 22nd June - we raised over £200. It was so lovely to see so many families enjoying their breakfast in the sun, and we thought it was a great way to start a fantastic sports day. Huge thanks to all the volunteers who helped on the day, especially Shirley who gave up a morning lie-in to come and help us in the kitchen!

St Nic's Coffee Morning

Thanks to everyone who baked cakes and volunteered at the coffee morning at St Nic's Church in Newbury on Thursday 14th June. We made £192! Big thanks to Gayle Ashby for organising.

Bags2School

Our next collection is Tuesday 10th July. Please bring your bags to the main playground on the afternoon of Monday 9th July or the morning of the 10th July.

Join the PTA

As a relatively small committee, we are stretched to capacity at the moment organising events and projects to help fund the Great Change of St. Thomas’.  In September, we are also conscious that we will be losing three valued members of our committee when their children move on to Year 3.

If you are able to help out this term, or going forwards into the 2018/19 academic year, we would welcome new committee members with open arms!  Just let one of the Co-Chairs know – you can contact us on Classlist or catch us at pick-up; Gemma Gittins (Class 5), Jo Charles (Class 1) or Sarah Pilbrow (Class 4).

Classlist

If you haven’t yet signed up to Classlist, please do. It’s a great tool for you to easily connect with other parents across the school and, going forwards, will be the first place that the PTA announce events and updates.

Click here to download the app or visit the Classlist website.

If you have any queries or technical issues, just let your Classlist Rep know:

Class 1 – Jo Charles

Class 2 – Gayle Ashby

Class 3 – Lucy Macleod
