Latest Newsletter Update
Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Summer Social. It was such a brilliant day and we were so pleased to see so many of you enjoying yourselves.
Massive thanks to everyone who helped with the set up, clear down and manning of the stalls, as well as to all those involved with the organisation of the event. We don't have a final total for you yet, but as soon as we do, we'll let you know.
Big thanks to Melissa Tennent and Platinum Bars for their amazing contribution - the bars were a huge hit! Thanks also to East Woodhay Silver Band, Kate Duncan, Woolton Hill Tennis Club, Woolton Hill Argyle FC, Mike's Donkeys and Soul Steady for their brilliant entertainment.
If anyone is able to apply for matched funding for this event, please let Alex Tanner know.
We hope that you and your child have enjoyed looking through their yearbook. It has been so lovely hearing all of the positive comments from children, staff and parents about them. We hope that you will enjoy them for years to come.
Thank you to everyone who made a donation towards their child's yearbook too. This has made a good dent in the final cost we have to pay the printing company and means that we will have more money available to spend on equipment and items needed by the school next year.
Additional copies are still available from the school office at a cost of £10 each.
Second-hand Uniform Sale
We raised £60 at the new Yr R parents induction day selling second-hand uniform. Thank you to everyone who donated their unwanted items. We will be running another sale shortly after term begins in September, please keep any eye out for messages about donation dates.
The Bags2School collection on 10th July raised £64.40. Thank you to everyone who donated items to the collection.
Join the PTA
As a relatively small committee, we are stretched to capacity at the moment organising events and projects to help fund the Great Change of St. Thomas’. In September, we are also conscious that we will be losing three valued members of our committee when their children move on to Year 3.
If you are able to help out in the 2018/19 academic year, we would welcome new committee members with open arms! Just let one of the Co-Chairs know – you can contact us on Classlist or catch us at pick-up; Gemma Gittins (Class 5), Jo Charles (Class 1) or Sarah Pilbrow (Class 4).
If you haven’t yet signed up to Classlist, please do. It’s a great tool for you to easily connect with other parents across the school and, going forwards, will be the first place that the PTA announce events and updates.
We would like to have a Class Representative for each class again next year. If you are interested in being involved, please let a member of the PTA know.
